Blog about Twitter
As compared to Blackboard, a Twitter conversation is similar but with the limitation of 280 characters. You aren't allowed to say as much, so you have to be more decisive with the words you choose to get your point across. Twitter allows you to scroll and read a lot of different tweets quickly without taking too much time. Both Twitter and Blackboard allow you to reply to each other on a thread which is helpful to follow along with a conversation. Blackboard allows you to write as much as you want and reminds me of an in-class discussion. Although you can't talk too much in class because you need to allow time for others, they are similar because you aren't limited to a character count. In an in-class discussion, only one person is allowed to speak, but on Twitter, multiple people can tweet at the same time. I enjoy using Twitter because information is quickly summed up and doesn't require too much time.
