Blog: P2P
According to Jamie King, File sharing is when users share or transmit "computer date in a network or internet with various access levels." It is efficient for users to work on shared documents regardless of location or computer access. P2P File sharing stands for peer to peer file sharing allows individuals to access media files using software programs that can search and locate computers that have the file the individual wants. P2P allows users to distribute/access media files through P2P software programs such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and USB. Another example is BitTorrent, which lets users quickly upload and download enormous amounts of data. Due to illegal traffic, the Motion Picture Association of America began suing downloaders of movies, but for many, BitTorrent is changing the landscape of broadcast media.
